Personal Knowledge Management
The goal of PKM is to:
- remember and synthesize what you consume, and
- use information in the most efficient way
“Efficient” means reducing the incidence of:
- a piece of information being forgotten
- synthesis not using the linkages between concepts, and
- concepts not translating between one area of application
Books
Building a Second Brain is a book that is quite light on details but got me thinking about this concept more fully. The PARA method he proposes is nothing complex or revolutionary, but it does force a certain focus without being too difficult to adopt.
