## Motivation[^1]
- You can't really plan for serendipity. It's important to allow people to have serendipitous moments with the data.
- You can't get to everyone having insight without everyone having data first; it's the first step.
- Nature abhors a vacuum, and therefore even with no data, bad actors can still make bade decisions.
## Safeguards
- When you get closer to making a decision, especially if it's irreversible, then you subject the analysis to closer scrutiny.
